centuries, a photo from Kruje, North

Photographer's Note

Monuments of different centuries in and around the castle of Kruje.
You can see from left to right:
The old Mosque - 15th century, the castle-tower - 12th century, the Skanderbegmonument - 20th century and the monument for those who fell during WW II - 1945.
This makes the circle round and will end this travelogue of Albania.
I hope you all enjoyed it.

Hi Gerrit, amazing shot. a good composition with 4 different vertical structures.
the light on the one in foreground is excellent as the POV and the beautiful warm colours.

Thanks for sharing all photos of Albania. Greatly composed. Shady part at shoulder of the hill reduces my excitement in viewing this picture.

I like the yellow vs blue color contrast, & superb sharpness. Framing is a little tight, but symmetry between to 2 vertial towers is great. Tfs!

Excellent shot to end the series (it's a pitty to know that it ended), showing the interplay bettween the diferent monuments from a superb POV. The quality of the image is impressive and the colors are astonishing. Great work and congratulations for the series. I have loved it!

Wonderful mixture of architecture from different periods and in different styles. You chose your POV well to include them all. I have enjoyed your series of photos from Albania and have learned a lot about this little visited country.

Hi Gerrit - the mix of very different period architecture makes an interesting composition, of course the communist concrete monster dominates in this case, the wispy clouds fill the generous sky nicely.

Hi Gerrit, A nice juxtaposition of styles and monuments!
Great colors, sharpness and exposure... the perspective distortion can be corrected easy in Photoshop... A nice one!

A great collection of these historical buildings and good to see that you have managed to capture them in one go. The gradual reduction in the size of the monuments as they recede into the distance gives a good perspective to the shot. Nice work and great note.

un site qui mérite d'être visité ou le point de vue doit être intéressant, les couleurs sont bien saturées, on voit la distortion du grand angle a droite et a gauche mais c'est pas trés génant

Perfect belicht shot Gerrit, alles mooi doortekend. Mooi dit perpspectief met het monument op voorplan naar de minaret toe met de huizen er tussenin. De helder blauwe lucht contrasteert prachtig met de omgeving.

Very interesting the information from your trip to Albania! Beautiful pictures as well.
Only one thing I don't understand: since you came to this part of Europe, why didn't you visit Romania as well. The mountains offer great views; I don't know about biking trail, cause I'm no pro, but if i can walk, i'm sure a bike can find it's way..
