Photographer's Note

This is called Tirana Lake, as far as i remember..
and i think it was somewhere in the Grand Park (Parku i Madh) which was just south of downtown Tirana.. It was a haven from the traffic and dust of the capital in those days. And the thousands of the city's inhabitants came here on holidays to play and picnic(fishing of course). The area was fairly safe, but it was best to go before dark, since police presence was scant,, (any corrections about the place are appreciated btw!)

I was staying in Albania at that time (-97 i think)..
and i was very disinterested with my poor Nikon F90?! even if i was carrying it most of the time with me
(i was very on and off i mean)..
This is one of the few shots i took over there. I was in the park around the lake (meditating! lol) and it was a wonderful sky that night, i'll never forget that!

(PS. It was developed by one of the few photo laboratories in the city centre in those days, (pretty good work from them!) scanned recently, No PP)
