The highest mountain of Germany is the Zugspitze. Height is 2962m. On German side, you can take the Eibseeseilbahn to the top. Base the station is in a town called Grainau.

On the Austrian part of the mountain, you can take the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn to the top. Its base station is in a town called Obermoos.

Returnticket on the Austrian one is €45 and the German one is €52 (Summer 2018)

The German one is broken right now as there was a accident with the cabin at the end of the 2018 Summer.

On top it is like a small city. It has a restaurant and a bar and you can buy souvenirs. With good weather, the view is spectacular!
