Photographer's Note
The Getreidegasse in Salzburg with its famous guild signs. Salzburg is such a beautiful city. Nearby on this same street is Motzart's birthplace (pictured here )
Interesting info I found about this street:
-It is Salzburg's most famous area for shopping
-German name for the street means "Corn Alley," although it had nothing to do with crops.
-Substantial alterations to the buildings are prohibited to maintain the historic feel of the distric, as are neon signs.

Hi Amber,
I visited this place long ago and this photo conveys well its summer atmosphere, the perspective is good ending on the castle and we can see a diverse selection of signs for which this street is famous, the people add life to the scene. It just suffers from some quality problems that seem to be the result of the JPG compression.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Amber, Getreidegasse.... Brings back so many memories. I stayed in a little hotel named 'Die
Blaue Gans' right around here and eaten in this restaurant under this sign. In 1967 - way before you were born. Nice photo, too bad about the tourists - they always spoil the picture. Regards, Janos
PS. Nice of you to mention Mozart (not Motzart, picky-picky), it's HIS city after all)
