Photographer's Note

I planned this post already before going to Vienna so even if the quality is not as I hoped, I show it anyway. The upper photo appeared on TE some years ago. It was made in September 1979, during my first visit in Vienna. The lower picture was made in May 2014, so the time difference is 35 years. What has changed? One can see that the entrance to the Charles church looks much better now, the church was renovated and the angels are now white (quite difficult to make photo). Earlier the people were all staying and now they are all sitting on the steps.
Usually when Gert shows his old gems, we wonder, what happened to the people? The young girls are maybe the mothers or even grandmothers, the elder people are probably dead. Here I can tell you something. Do you see on the upper photo the young slim woman in blue jeans and white shirt? Well, she is still alive although old and fat. She liked to travel already in 1979 but now became passionate traveller and photographer.

Slightly different version here, not better unfortunately.
