I dug up some of my old photos taken with a matchbox pinhole camera. Maybe I won’t meet the common taste with them, but I like these imperfect photos.
Kasia & Will, this series is dedicated to you!

About the technique: I built the camera according to the website below. Since it is impossible to scan the negative with an automatic scanner (the camera doesn’t produce standard size frames), I built a “developer machine” from a beer can, which made it possible to take photos from the negative with backlight, using my Nikon with a macro set. Then I converted the negatives in PS.
How to build it: http://matchboxpinhole.com/

Hi Gyorgy
What an unusual effect, and it has given you a rather magical result, this really is like looking into a fairytale. The only connection with the real world is the parasols over the benches, other than that this is like a fine painting. I really do like your result.
Best wishes

Hello Gyorgy
Thanks very much for the dedication! This is such a weird and wonderful shot. I remember getting my students to make pinhole cameras out of shoe-boxes, but we were only using b/w sheet film. Another thing I've tried is using a 35mm camera body without a lens, but with a pinhole through a piece of tin foil taped over the lens hole: quite easy really, and the film can be processed as usual! This is a technicolour Disney scene. I suspect old Walt wouldn't have approved of the low technical quality (ditto TE members probably!) But I love it, tacky taste, light leaks and all! What a brave and quirky post!
Regards
Will
P.S. I suspect you're already familiar with Lomography. In case you're not (and I think you'll like some of this stuff), try this link

Hello Gyorgy,
this is a really a original and wonderful work. Badly see only 4 points for this magival photo using pinhole, and in a machbox! Great!
The place itself is very pretty too.
Thanks for this masterpiece.

wonderful, original take and rare technique shown on TE. i like this naive, children's book feel to it. is this a real place? i looked up in Google, but edelwiesshütte looks like a ski resort, i could't find a trace of this rapunzel's tower.

Hi Gyorgy
Thank you for this, it's so very nice of you! :-) I love this kind of experimental photography and this image looks like a dream. It makes me want to walk into the frame and spend an afternoon among the flowers.
Have a nice day
Kasia
