Photographer's Note
I was looking at some posts from Austria on TE, and I remember it well, so looked through my many shots from there. Found this one of people in the Inner Stadt, downtown in Vienna. Most of the people here are likely tourists, but there is always a lot activity here. You might notice the plague statue in the background. They are prominent in many of the larger cities in Austria. The negative side of the photo is the nearly blank sky in the background, but rather than crop it out, I wanted to show the statue.
For those who have never been here, this was the First Bezirk of Wien and for ten years it was controlled on a monthly basis by either Russia, France, England or the USA. With the exodus of occupation forces from Austria , Vienna blossomed. Beautiful City.

Hello Roger,
I was in Vienna last year in May, so I remember well this place. Such plague columns can be seen also in Czech, well, it is close. Vienna is indeed delightful town, I liked it very much. Pleasant photo showing the lovely atmosphere. Excellent sharpness and the sky is not bad, there is some touch of blue. I suppose you were there very early after war.

Hi Roger,
You have captured well a daily activity. The length of the street is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the facade of the buildings. Have a nice day.

Hello Roger
Vienna was perhaps my favorite city in Europe. Florence and Venice are right up there too and tie with Vienna. Everywhere I looked there was something old and ornate and interesting. As depicted here. Good sharpness and the people animate the scene. I got quite addicted to the Austrian torte cakes too with their crunchy caramelized fillings. The 2 bg statues add interest here. Tfs.
