Photographer's Note
The Grossglockner High Alpine Road (in German Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße) is a panoramic road in Austria in the state of Salzburg. It connects the state of Salzburg with the state of Carinthia. It is named after the Großglockner, Austria's highest mountain.It has been an incomparable experience for about fifty million visitors since 1935. The most famous of all alpine roads ends before the highlight of the Hohe Tauern National Park: the highest mountain and the largest glacier in Austria, the Grossglockner (3,798m) and the Pasterze.
