Hal, a photo from Brabant Flamand, Flandres

Photographer's Note

Hal est une petite ville du Brabant flamand à 15 kms au sud de Bruxelles (et à 20 kms au nord d'où j'habite).
L'église en arrière plan est consacrée à Saint Martin et la ville prospéra surtout à partir du 14e siècle.

Prachtige kerktoren in de midden Fred, de grote en de kleine omgedraaide ajuin op de toren is mooi en scherp. Goed gezien in het Vlaamse gedeelte.

De compositie van dit plaatje is hardstikke goed, ik had alleen wel gewacht, tot deze mensen uit zicht waren, maar dat is persoonlijk, ik hou niet zo van mensen in een foto.
Maar goed, mooi stadgezicht van Halle, Fred !

Ce que j'aime dans l'image est le fait que l'on a tandence a chercher ce que les trois personnes regardent et cela nous oblige le regard a nous prommener avec eux sur la photo et sur le détails de cette rue. Bien vu Fred pour ce deuxieme point d'attraction qui est le clocher bien situé sur le cliché.

Interesting shot from this nice town, Fred. The distinctive rooftops of the house on the left and of that one more to the right are the same style we've also seen in some of John's (jhm) canalside shots. You found a nice shooting angle and the picture has good contrast. Thanks for sharing!

Une lumière forte qui écrase des personnages qui semblent bien petits face à l'architecture de l'église. Le choix du cadrage renforce cette impression. Touristes perdus ?
