The Blinde-Ezelstraat is a street in the heart of the historic center of Bruges.

Description

In this street that runs from the Burg to the Vismarkt, between the town hall and the Civil Registry, the Den Blinden Ezele inn was mentioned in a document from 1490, which attached to the Registry.

"Blind donkey", according to Karel De Flou, referred to the custom of the brewers to blindfold the donkeys who had to step into the treadmill of the malting plant.

Hello John,
The bridge and the narrow gate give the photo fine depth up to the elegant gate. In the foreground the people make the photo lively and pleasant. The brick walls with red windows are quite beautiful and the photo is well exposed with attractively mild colours.

Hello John,

This is a beautifully composed photograph. You have complete control of the viewers, as you carefully guide them across the bridge, and along the cobbled thoroughfare between the buildings, towards the distant arch. It’s a fine exposure, too.
I love people watching and here, we have the opportunity to see lots of figures, in different attitudes but not aware of you and your camera.
You manage to find many interesting viewpoints, to share with us, in the lovely old city.

lovely spot indeed.
I will remind here my photo as well, which shows the close up of this bridge.
The bridge itself is lovely but the whole context also quite interesting.
You have well captured it here with the people who add color and life to the scene.
The sky seems very bright but you have processed it very well and the level of contrast and saturation is perfect.

Hallo John, tourists and locals mingle in that narrow street in Bruges. The cobbled alley is pedestrian and leads to a yellow gate. It is encircled by old red brick buildings. Fine colors, good sharpness, instructive photo note, regards.
