Photographer's Note
Hi, there,
A rare chance within the few hours I had to shoot this nook with a variety of styles and ages in building technologies as well as showing a soar into the www age:) in the town of Haskovo.
The town has a favourable location and isn't devoided of some charm.
There's a food product originated here- katma. Now this sort of huge pancake made with yeast is common all over Bulgaria and even in Varna-my home city.
How to get to Haskovo, depends on your starting point.
I personally, despite the long journey of 6 hours, prefer taking a bus.
I'm among the fewest Bulgarians who doesn't have a car.
It's not a sin, is it?:)
You get on Varna and you get off in Haskovo straight after Dimitrovgrad.
Trains are for adventurers, there's a change at Karnobat or Stara Zagora. Sorry,I don't remember quite well.
As to the shot, a similar scene might be seen even in big cities. It's not only Haskovo's priority.

Hello Valeria,
A very nicely composed shot illustrating the contrasts between old and new.
Good exposure and sharp details.
I come down on the side of the old ... much more character!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
many thanks for your warm comments on 'Barrowford Bridge'.
