A Quiet Charles Bridge II

A couple of weeks ago I posted this photo (https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Czech_Republic/photo1592019.htm) with a (relatively) quiet Charles Bridge (Karlův most) in Prague. Here’s the same bridge, but the opposite end at the side of the district of Malá Strana (Little Side). Some of the towers in this photo (https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Czech_Republic/photo1592714.htm) can be seen here as well, including the Malá Strana Bridge Tower (Malostranská mostecká věž) as well as Prague Castle (Pražský hrad) and St Vitus Cathedral (Katedrála svatého Víta).

Hej Lars,
Kanske har Covid-epidemin det goda med sig att platser som den här bron inte är lika sanslöst fullpackade med turister som vanliga år. Här går det ju faktiskt att se själva bron och hela stenläggningen. Lite lagom med människor piggar upp förgrunden och ger balans åt vyn av de vackra byggnaderna i bakgrunden. Rött och gult och andra färger gör bilden väldigt trevlig att se. Ljuset ger hopp om en fin sommar om några månader.

Dit lijkt mij het gelezen uitstapje.
Vanop de brug een mooi panorama over de stad.
Echt een heel mooie foto met al de mensen erbij.
Nochtans wat tegen de zon in maar geslaagd

Hallo Lars,
De foto toont een redelijke drukte. Doch de bezoekers zijn voldoende gespreid zodat niet de hele voorgrond ingenomen wordt door mensen en we toch de brug ook zien.
Prachtige combinatie van historische gebouwen en gezellige sfeer.

There are always a lot of people on this bridge, it is actually quiet here.
Next excellent view from Prague.

Excellent street shot of summer in the city! Very eclectic mix of fashions and interest in the crowd on the bridge. You certainly captured the mood giving a real feel for the feel of a sunny day. A joyful scene with lots of interest and details to engage the viewer - well done

An excellent take on the ever busy Karl bridge, the most toured spot in Prague, Lars.
Bright daylight brought out best of colors to the scene.

Hi Lars,
A well composed photo with the skyline of Prague in the background. The long shadows produce a pleasing effect - we probably would not see this when the bridge is full of thousands of people in peak tourist times.

The people, involved in sightseeing, animate the f/g very well. The bridge, with its cobbled surface, makes an irresistible guide to the beauty of the impressive Prague buildings.

I liked this view from the famous bridge with the cathedral up there and that tower ahead. we can see some tourists watching some sculptures of the bridge. nice photo.

A good pair for the earlier upload. Lovely late afternoon sunshine, I like those long shadows on stone pavement. All those classic buildings look nice, especially the cathedral.

Hello Lars, taken before it was deemed wise to wear face masks, little did we realise how much it would change over the ensuing months.
I like the point of view, animated with all the people, and with the distinctive buildings of Prague in the background.

Hi Lars,
indeed I arrived at this spot relatively early as well and there were not too many people. Similarly to your photo. I was slightly discouraged though because the light is more favourable later with the cathedral better lit in the afternoon.
But one cannot have everything.
I think you have perfectly well used the opportunity here. Silhouette of people add so much life and color.

did you ever get up before sunrise and walk across the bridge? I did that...its awesome...its as if you have the entire bridge to yourself. This is such a pleasing view, brings back fond memories as well. the castles in the bg steal the show though in my opinion...love it

Hello Lars,
Ha!Ha!.....another different scene of this so-called ' A Quiet Bridge'.
An iconic Cathedral and interesting features of Prague. No doubt, the most visited ( quiet ) bridge. But this time, I'm more attracted to the people.
Well, it doesn't look like it's taken the covid pandemic and so carefree. Everyone just enjoying , soaking the sun.
Talking about sun, I see two guys staring at the sun ?? or something ..... and behind them, a guy scratching his head....wondering what's these two guys looking at... Or could be you ( with mask ):-)

Hallo Lars,

Yes, it's certainly less busy than I remember it and the absence of anyone busking, selling art, postcards etc, playing musical instruments or sketching tourists is quite noticeable, with only 1 seated gentleman on the left. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs!
