A view on old town of Praha made from Hradcany- the Castle District, it is the Prague district surrounding the Prague Castle.

The castle is said to be the biggest castle in the world at about 570 meters length and an average of about 130 meters wide. Its history stretches back to the 8th century. The St Vitus Cathedral is located in the castle area.
Hradčany was an independent borough until 1784, when the four independent boroughs that had formerly constituted Prague were proclaimed a single city. The other three were Lesser Quarter, Old Town and New Town.

Picture was made during my summer holidays in 2006. I spent there only 2 days but I loved this city! I'm going to visit Praha one's more in this summer holidays. Great architecture, hundreds of pub's, restaurants, shops... exceptional climate.

I think it's the law rule that every buildings in this part of town got to has red roofs- for traditional and better look. Meybe I'm wrong...am I?:)
It was really hot day, sunlight was very strong, air wasn't so clear- we can see blue haze in longer distances.

Great place to visit- most beautiful old town I've ever seen!
