I still love black and white. Took this six years ago on the old Canon T90, which I still own. Had to wait a few minutes until there was only the one person in the shot; but I reckon he really needs to be there!

Great effect you achieved with the slight tilt: looks really dynamic, otherwise it would be a still image filled with calmness and silence. Even that column fragment on the right is just in place.
The rest is just perfect, too: lights, shadows, choice of black and white.

Dear Will,

I think this is a nice composition, and I like the repetition of lights and shadows broken by the dark human figure. As a suggestion, I would pay more attention in the slight tilt of the image (the columns are leaning) and, moreover, I would remove the very foreground on the right, that out-ofo-focus column that, in my opinion, is a bit disturbing the cleaness of the image.

Hi Will,
this is a nice image, a good capture of shape and light. It has a slightly sinister feel about it with man in silouhette like a scene from 1950s spy movie. TFS.

lovely black and white image. the continuing patterns created by the pillars and arches, with the interplay between light and shade is very impressive. the figure is also well placed to add more interest.

Hello Will.
It is very strange that we took similar photos almost in the same place and the same period.
This picture is an excellent BN and the columns that curve to left, add a mysterious atmosphere.
What is there beyond ?
