Photographer's Note

Even though the canals are known to be the hallmark of Venice and Amsterdam, a boat tour through the old canals of Copenhagen is certainly on the must-do list of tourist attractions. The canals of Christianshavn date back to the early 17th century. Their main function was to protect the fleet of the Royal Danish Navy and to enhance trading with merchants from abroad. For me, the canals offered a gateway to capture Copenhagen in a colourful and abstract way.
