Photographer's Note

A Whale in a dive "shot" on Greenlands westcoast. I think its a Bowhead Whale also known as the Greenland Whale. I am not 100% certain, but from the looks of its tale, I think its a Bowhead.

Excellent shot! Like how the light reflects off certain parts on the tail and to see the water just flowing off it is awesome. I also like the land shown on the top of the pic.

Beautiful picture Allan, I think that to be present in a scene of this type should be something wonderful and more even to be able to capture in this beautiful image. I like golden reflections, they make me think a sunset behind you, reflected in the drops of water that they fall of their tail like a fountain. I like the deep blue color of the water, this whale well could make camouflage among the waves. Great moment, pretty image. Happy weekend. Cordial greetings. *Ninfa Urania*

Waw... Great shot Allan, I like golden reflections, they make me think a sunset behind you, reflected in the drops of water that they fall of their tail like a fountain. Lovely

Nice shot! It's the classic whale picture,but still...
What this picture makes so special is the sunset colours on the tail and the beautiful same color on the background. And..it's not tilted!
How many shots did you take before you had the perfect one? Because as far as I know,when the whale goes down it take a very long time before he dives up again...

This is an awesome shot Allan. A good composition and a decisive moment I would say. Including the shoreline gives a good perspective to the shot.
