Photographer's Note
A museum isn't a bad place for candids, people are mostly busy looking at something else.
Paintings in the background are by Richard Mortensen, one of the most important danish abstract constructionist artists.

A special one, Torben. I like it more than yesterdays. You are using humans here as normally done to show scale on architecture or big sized industrial objects but with an artwork instead and it works. A strong thing here is that the two look in different directions but both with about the same angle from straight forward.

I like this one best so far, Torben. Such a great contrast between the starkness of the art and the museum and the humanity of the little boy and his mom. Composition is excellent with a little bit of space to the right of the paintings, but wiht the feet and wheelchair filling the frame at the bottom. Really original and really nice!

Well, I'm not a big fan of the paintings, but I like this photo a lot. One of my favourite things about it is the boy and woman looking in different directions, and the fact that you can't see her face at all.

Excellent composition. I love how you stood to capture the woman so we don't see the corner of the painting frame. The line just underneath the painting points our eye back to the woman as do the handlebars of the wheelchair. The nice empty space you left on the right third of the frame creates a nice calm spot for the eye to pause before moving through the frames in many directions lead by the expressions of the subjects as well as the lines in the artwork. Beautiful job!

I came to look at this picture a few times...I can only look at the boy's face..in between lines about the museum is a sadness that points to his face as well as the picture itself...I want to say I like your colors, grains, sensitive compositions but this will be a weak comment after reading it so many times (from me, others)
all the best...thanks..

You know, we, people, will all survive. Thanks for giving my optimism rise, Torben.

I will try to explain the power in this image with the geometry of its elements. The sharp lot of triangles and rectangles is a strong background for the circles and ovals which the wheelchair and human figure are made of. And the cross point is at the boy's face... The rest is already said...
Piece of art!

Hi Torben,
I had a look through part of your work. This is realy origional. You have a special look on the world.
The crop is in most cases rather tight.
This picture was special for me. It reminded me on buisiness trip I made years ago through Denmark. Promoting for Mayland Smith from Aarhus. We traveld along many instituuts demonstrating special eqipment for disableds.
I like the shot for his graphic look. Lines, shapes and colors repeating.
Good work,
Hendrik.
P.s. have a look at the first of my reworked windmills if you like.
