Oscar Niemeyer died yesterday, aged of 104 years. This is a tribute to this great architect. This building is now a theatre and is familiarly called "le pot de yaourt"

Bonjour Claude,

Une belle idée pour l'hommage. Si un jour je repasse vers le Havre, je ferai un crochet pour faire quelques images du volcan.
Bien vu d'avoir attendu le passage de la camionnette dans un point fort de l'image pour donner une accroche visuel, un contre point coloré et une idée des dimensions du truc.

Quand je suis allé au havre j'ai trouvé ce "truc" affreux (même si dessiné par le créateur de Brasilia)par rapport à l'endroit où il est situé. je trouvais qu'il n'allait pas avec son environnement. Ici ton cadrage et la lumière qui le fait briller lui donnent une tout autre dimension. Une belle photo pour un bel homage avec une petite signature à la Clodo avec le camion.

Bonjour Claude,
Une belle idée de rendre hommage à O. Niemeyer avec cette superbe photo.
Des lignes épurées qui rendent bien justice à l'architecte, même si on appelle ce théâtre communément le pot de yaourt :-) Bien vu avec ce camion de nettoyage devant l'édifice. Une très belle photo.

Bonjour Claude,

A fine picture of "Le Volcan" and a fine tribute to Oscar Niemeyer too.

Excellent simple composition with some lovely light which brings out the textures of this interesting building perfectly. The green and white truck is perfectly placed in the frame and gives some foreground interest as well as a sense of scale.

Un bel hommage à cet architecture par cette image.Une image bien composée avec en prime cette machine à nettoyer bien dans le cadre.Toutefois j'ai trouvé le ciel de cette image trop bruité,j'ai donc réalisé un petit WS avec Neat Image et j'ai également légèrement changé la teinte de ce ciel.En espérant avoir donné satisfaction.

Je comprends que la construction puisse faire débat mais c'est un bel hommage à l’œuvre de ce grand architecte disparu.

Beautiful tribute, Claude, to a fine architect. I like the simplicity of this shot, and the peace, with just the street sweeping truck to add any movement or color - a nice splash of green.

now thats a wicked looking building!
has a really cool sweeping curve to it, as if its being swept by a strong breeze. There's also a false sense of movement that i like about it.
and you're lucky to have that white/green vehicle there too for contrast.

to me it looks like something not yet finished.....
good idea, to include the green machine, it would look a bit boring otherwise.
Nevertheless I think that Oscar Niemeyer deserves that we don´t forget him.....
