J'ai vu de la lumière, alors je suis rentrée. Ca faisait longtemps !

L'église Saint-Joseph du Havre a architecture très inspirante. Les jeux de lumière sont captivants.

Tel un phare au coeur de la ville, l'église Saint-Joseph se singularise par une tour-lanterne octogonale, d'une hauteur de 110 mètres, faisant corps avec la base carrée de l'édifice, réunissant nef et choeur.

Commencés en 1951 par Auguste Perret, les travaux sont achevés en 1957,après sa mort, par des architectes de son atelier.

A l'intérieur de l'église, le béton est éclairé par 6500 verres colorés. Les couleurs varient en fonction de l'orientation.

Dédiée à la mémoire des victimes des bombardements, edifice emblématique de la reconstruction en Europe, l'église Saint-Joseph s'impose comme l'un des chefs-d'oeuvres architecturaux du XXème siècle.

Plus d'un an après ton dernier post, tu nous reviens avec cette superbe photo de l'église du Havre. Ce clocher creux aux innombrables vitraux est sensationnel.

a magnificent geometrical composition that pleases and fascinates the eyes with its intriguing perspectives. The sense of depth is wonderful and there's a strong feeling of textures which plays a big part in the appeal of the image. I love the play of light and its subtle gradations. Hello Karine,
It is so nice to see your work again on TE. This is a very carefully managed picture under difficult conditions. The rich brown colour of the wood is lovely and the light coming through the glass makes for a beautiful architectural image. Imaginative framing shows the geometry very well.

Hello Karine - Lovely to see you posting again and with such a fine shot. Your square composition and crop is precise and light management excellent. The feeling of depth perspective is super and your slightly off-centre POV adds a dynamism to the shot which would be lost if you stood directly under the lantern tower. Un cadrage créatif et une très belle réalisation, le rendu est vraiment magnifique. Cette compo fait travailler notre imagination et peut porter à de nombreuse interprétations, comme pour mon cas, à de la science fiction, l'intérieur d'un vaisseau spatial...

a stunning image this! It jumps out in the thumbnails and full size is just awesome. Your POV is amazing as is the detailing, but it is the coloured lights and symmetry here that tantalise and excite the viewer. So effective and beautiful. Captivating and creative imagery at its finest! Bravo!

Décidément Le Havre décèle des sujets photos plus intéressants qu'on ne le pense ! Etonnant point de vue au rendu très futuriste. Un vrai décor de science fiction, on s'attend à voir des navettes spatiales nous passer devant !

A really astounding shot, Karine, which looks more like something from a dystopian science fiction film than a cathedral of any sort due to your creative framing and tilt. Beautiful glowing light emanates from the center here, but it's the glow of each individual stained glass window that really adds to the 3D effect and provides brilliant depth. Beautiful work under what appear to be fairly challenging light conditions. Thanks!
