Photographer's Note

Not exactly a practicing catholic, but the Maria Chapel corner behind the altar of the the St Sulpice church has always been a place I like to visit and meditate next to, if visiting Paris.

The Church itself, is still not on most tourists itinerary, though it is the home of a few Delacroix paintings, and the place where Marquis De Sade and the poet Baudelaire were baptized, and Victor Hugo married. Its sunday afternoon concerts of organ music are, nonetheless, a well known feature of its parochial activities.
