Photographer's Note
Today I post another photograph from the Egyptian section of the Louvre museum in Paris.
About the exhibit
-----------------
Unfortunately I neglected to note down anything about these interesting figurines. However there were probably around 50 of them assembled in a cabinet in the "Le Livre des Morts" (book of deaths) room. They were all around 3 or 4 inches tall.
Their vivid blue colour and orderly presentation drew me to them instantly.
Technical details about the photograph
--------------------------------------
Shot at ISO1600, hence the 'grain' (noise) :)
Increase in contrast using a standard S curve although the highlights were increased less than I reduced the shadow detail. No adjustments were made to the mid-tones.
Saturation in the red and yellow channels was increased slightly to bring out the brown/gold painting on the figures.
Resized and sharpened for posting.
John.
