LOVE, a photo from Ile-de-France, Nord

Photographer's Note

This yong man has been living for three years in front of the post office on Avenue de Clichy, in Paris (busy, noisy avenue!), and he was very wild, until he came back with a little friend, this darling tiger cat, and now he speaks to people, and people speak to him, and bring them food and stuff. Amazing what the company of an animal can do to human beings (on both sides, in this matter). It was raining and cold, in july, so it does not look like a very happy picture, but I know this boy is happy to have his new pal, called "Pikatchu".

welcome to TE! what a good way to start here, this is a good shot photo to make us pay attention to him and his story. I ´ve posted a workshop because i wanted to crop some of the surroundings, and i have changed colours using the colour channels, mostly just for fun.

A big TE welcome to you Langaloo this is truely in the spirt of TE this picture, somebody has taught this person well the art of survival , insulatting him self well from the cold of the ground with all those layers of cardboard.

D'habitude les photos de TE cherchent à être artistiques, on en oubli aussi le quotidien ... cela nous rappelle à l'ordre en quelque sorte...
Je trouve l'original bien exposé et bien cadré, bonne netteté. Dans les WS, je trouve que celui de elena est trop serré, celui de ALN donne une luminosité intéressante, en revanche, la suppression de la cordelette est pas bien car c'est sans doute la sécurité pour dormir tranquille, elle a sa justification pour cette photo. L'enlever pour un souci esthétique n'est pas une bonne action. La cordelette rappelle la fragilité, le danger de vivre dans la rue. Pas de pitié entre eux. la jungle

There are some technical improvement that one can made in this picture, but the story behind it remains unchanged.

It was visible to a something heartwarming scene at first sight, laying in the same pause as a cat. but I got to know it is quite serious after reading the note.
This is a great documentary shot. Love to him with Pikatchu!

His life sounds so sad but at least he has someone there to provide him with the unconditional love he needs.

The photo creates conflicting emotions, hence it is special. In one side you feel sad about the man who lives on the street. But in the other side the frienship and love between cat and man creates hope.
