Photographer's Note
Getting a view of snowcovered peaks when you are yourself surrounded by spring is always a special treat. And when you cycle through foothills of a mountainrange like the Pyreness, you are sometimes offered that view. In this particular case we had just reached a "pass" of maybe 400 m above sea level where you have the impression of being high up, and then you spot those 2-3000 meter giants in the distance, before starting on the pleasant descent after the struggle of the ascent.
Tech: Auto-level and auto-contrast in PS and NeatImage treatment. The focal length used was 140 mm.

Great shot again! The view is magnificent, and it looks as though the cyclist was about to enjoy the descent! Those peaks in the background look awsome. Great composition too. The road creates a nice curve making one imagine what is just around the corner. Well done.

Oh how nice to watch Per - this fine landscape - to bad about the hazy horizon but I like it even.
The cyclist adds extra to this landscape/ action shot - fine memories of some good days in France.

There is an huge contrast between the mountains behind and the foreground. Though that a nice view and intersting note... that true that we have illusion that thos high mountains are smaller than where you are! Well done!

Wow, this one is great, Per - too bad that the thumbnail doesn't do it the justice it deserves. Very nice scene with the winding road leading into the scene, and the distant mountain ranges behind the evolving spring landscape are great. The cyclist is a fine addition and improves the shot greatly. Well done.

Bonjour Per,
That's nice, tomorrow I'm going to Paziols to buy that good wine that the region produces, and I see your picture that reflects exactly what the roads there are...cyclists paradise!
Kind regards
Felip
