Photographer's Note
Albi is a major town in the Midi-Pyrenees region situated on the Tarn River. Upstream from Albi is the Tarn Gorge, which I have yet to visit, but looks very interesting for outdoor activities when the weather improves :-)
The picture is taken from the Toulouse-Lautrec museum which is situated in the old town, near the cathedral. Now...call me slow, but I only recently realised that the famous painter, whose paintings hang in the museum, came from this region and that his name is a combination of the City of Toulouse and the Village of Lautrec - which is just south of Albi. His family owned a large amount of land in this region from which the name derives. So, not only did I have some fun taking pictures, but also learnt something new...isn't that what life is all about? :-)

Hi David
First of all, it's a wonderful landscape, very well served by your composition. The colours are very appealing. I just wonder if they are natural or the result of some photoshop work. Whatever, I like the result.

It's a nice shot, I agree, but I think the PP editing is a bit overdone and distracting. IMO.

Incredible scene! The thing that really draws me to this shot is the colours, which are surreal. I can see pink, orange and violet - very unusual and beautiful. The view of the old town and those amazing bridges is great too. Well done!

And that is what photography is about, a shot is not taken by your tool but more by your mind, the persuit of the feeling at the spot, sometimes growing in your memory by time, is what is called skill to go beyond the limitations of an imperfect tool to an artistic and personal expression without loosing the reality that becomes a new reality : yours.
Very fine details and incongruous fabulous colors.
