Photographer's Note

Les deux frères s'ennuyaient.
Alors ils ont quitté la forêt et sont allé au sommet des collines pour rencontrer le ciel.
Ils voulaient être seuls, être libres, être en paix.
Ils voulaient parler aux nuages qui changent si facilement de couleurs.
Ils voulaient savoir pourquoi ils ne connaissaient pas l'apesanteur.

Mais dans leur fuite, le petit dernier les avait suivi.
Lui, le petit frère casse pied, celui qui râle, celui qu'il faut sans cesse surveiller, celui dont on n'arrive jamais à se séparer.

The two brothers were bored.
Then they left the forest and went at the top of the hills to meet the sky.
They wanted to be alone, to be free, to be in peace. They wanted to speak with the clouds which change colors so easily.
They wanted to know why they did not know weightlessness.

But in their escape, the small last had followed them. He, the little brother breaks foot, him which rail, him which should unceasingly be supervised, him from which we are never able to separate.

Fantastic photo.
The silhouettes themselves would be enough to make a good shot - in front of clouds like these that mirror the shape of the land the photo becomes outstanding.
And the little story is perfect.
Wish I'd taken this, and it's going into my favourites!

Salut Bertrand.
Superbe ce ciel et l'accentuation de cette silhouette, c'est bien fait.
J'aurais peut-être cropé un poil le bas, la partie noire me semble un peu grande.
En tous cas...bien fait, l'effet est là.

Bonsoir Bertrand,

Très belle la courbe ! Les nuages ont une consistance qui me plaît beaucoup avec une lumière agréable. Je trouve juste que la partie est inférieure est vraiment trop noire, mais bon, l'ensemble est harmonieux.

Jolie photo , un cadrage impec et quelques nuages idealement bien placés c'est du beau .. quoi que peut etre un peu trop de ciel sur le haut .bien vu .

hi Bertrand, i was looking for such an end of the day yesterday, where the outlines of the land would clearly divide where i was standing on from the sky where I was longing for, with a little bit of red/purple/or orange in the clouds or sky, yet i couldn't find it until i saw your picture:-) there's everything i wanted yesterday, beautiful:-)

Je comprends que le sujet réide dans les trois arbres mais moi, c'est le nuage que je préfère. Son rose et sa forme sont magnifiques.

Very cool composition- the dark and light, the black and color- its all working for you here. Those trees do look like they could be on a hike up the hill with a pesky little brother chasing after them. That cloud looks amazing- good catch.

Hi Bertrand.
Similar to your previous post, but you changed the composition (here the clouds appear cropped).
I think that here is more important the horizont and its shadow than the clouds of the sky.
Anyway, I like very much this photo.

bon moi déjà je mets à l'aise 2 points pour la note... elle est très bien trouvée et colle superbement à la photo. Ensuite, la photo : ce qui me frappe c'est la couleur du ciel. Un très joli bleu dégradé sans aucun bruit. Une belle qualité dans l'image et un superbe cadrage de ces 3 frères. Très bon travail !

I agree that this closer approach is even more beautiful than your previous one, as the two brothers have a bigger impact in here. You have allways so creative and poetic notes.
I love the inclination of the hill that leads to the trees and the paralelism of that amazing cloud, as a high divindity that is turning back to make them return to the forest. A really beautiful image!

superbe composition épurée. tout y est impeccable de la silhouette des arbres et de la barrière aux nuages rougis par le coucher de soleil puis les lignes courbes de la colline, hormis le fait, je pense, qu'il y a un peu trop de ciel vide au-dessus des nuages.

of the two shots of the same subject, this one is the best. i think the off centre placement works really well, as does the cloud formation.

the valley makes for quite an interesting and unusual silhouette. i like the simplicity of your shot and the metaphor in your note!

Bertrand, comme une trace d'encre de Chine, ta terre noire semble avoir cree une douce courbe pour reposer ton ciel rose de Renaissance. Ce poids des masses de couleurs est parfait a mon gout : il donne des ailes aux yeux, pour un envol vers l'azur. Une superbe image, poétique, forte, marquante. Et bien sur, on se prend de terrible amitie pour les deux freres. Bravo pour ce joli conte de ciel. --amz
