Photographer's Note
Sometimes I have a favourite picture for myself, this is one of them, I like to show "my" composition of this shot in Camaret-Sur-Mer.
The steeple of "Our Lady Of Rocamadour", the fishermen and sailor's church was damaged by an English cannonball in one of the many battles that raged around Camaret.
By the way, "Our Lady" is a Deep Purple songtitle.

Funny that I was in Camaret less than 2 weeks ago... I really enjoy the angle you chose, very impressive and dynamic. The light is a bit washed out, I will try a workshop.

Very well seen. This low POV makes a very original shot. The diagonal made by the boat is a must in the composition.

Indeed, that's a great composition here, Hans! The church is very well placed in the frame with a nice sky behind. Well done!

Bonjour Hans:)
Bon travail, Hans.

Oups! I'm sorry Hans. In english :
Here, exposure is particularly well-managed: One discerns the details well in shadows (cockle of boat and pebbles) and clear zones are not overexposed (sky and grass). about the composition, diagonal offered by the cockle of the boat is well seen.
Good work, Hans.

Very nice catch Hans. I like your low POV, very well seen, excellent inclusion of the church. The stones in foreground add a dramatic touch and light is very well managed. Very fine job!

Very distinctive composition Hans. I'm not certain which to admire first, the stone church, the nicely stained boat or the dramatic sky? Colors are right on and the depth of field give us crisp details as well. Our Lady looks worth a few more shots if you're ever in the neighborhood again. Fine work here.

Hi Hans - One should make a theme called something like "Perspectives".
This looks like a supertanker about to sail in a little church :-) I like the fine light and the angle you got this motif in. I can understand why you like it - it goes for me too.

Interesting composition with the heavy presence of the boat. Personaly I think that if you've had pulled back some more to show a bit more of the boat and the landscape at the left the composition could be stronger. Good low POV.

I just love this picture, its original composition, the colors, the texture of the boat and of the sand. Just a great idea to enhance the meaning of this beautifully simple church by framing it by a boat. It suggests to me stories of storms, sailors lost at sea and women praying in that church.
A simple yet very powerful picture.

Vous avez choisi un angle très original pour votre composition Hans. Le bateau ainsi en avant-plan sert de porte à ce qu'il y a derrière. Verry well done.

Oh my. What a juxtaposition - scale, philosophy, perspective. Incredible composition. Would do well to be in an exhibition, so many could ponder the message. Well done.
