Photographer's Note
After taking a short break from Chartres Cathedral, we now return to where we left off.
A view of the south transept and two stubs of two transept towers can clearly be seen, the south transept rose window measures more than ten meters in diameter as on the north transept façade, and is dedicated to Christ who is located at the centre of the oculus. The south façade and its rose window are dating back to 1225-1230. Also, on far right side of the photo, a stub of what would have been one of the choir towers can also be observed.
This day, I only had a 35mm lens; the enormous transept façade could not be fit in one frame. I apologize for not been able to show the very top of one of the stair towers in the frame.

Hi Nobu,
The rich archi. details shown from an akew angel, and that way adding depth to an upwards look.
Almost impossible to fit a whole edifice in a size like here / also I encountered in other Cathedrals, all in one shot - so the copped turret is understandable.
Light and contrast are superb.
Best regards

Salut cher Nobu
I have been caught in the exact same situation as you, with a lens not quite wide enough for what I want to photograph. But I don't think this is fatal to your shot, in fact it delivers an artier type POV for us and still allows us to enjoy the details of this classic architecture. Nice work, thanks for sharing.
I hope you;ve had a good Monday, amities

This is a lovely shot of Our Lady. The angled view gives a sense of scale and I like the slightly skewed view, it feels as if I am on the scene, looking up! Beautiful crisp focus.

Hello Nobu,
the same cathedral but a different composition and POV! This looks more "official", more solid, more "serious".. Very beautiful, I'd love to see it in real life one day!:)
warm regards,
Elena
PS. for such shots I usually create a panoramic photo consisting of several images... :)

Hello dear Nobu-san
I can understand you being hampered with the lack of a wider lens...the facade of the famous cathedral is immense as we can see. Like the beautiful picture with the cathedral soaring towards the sky. Against the blue of the sky, this has come out well
Best Regards Nobu-san & have a fine weekend
