Photographer's Note
Yesterday night, I witnessed the opening of the History film festival in the city where I live. I was sitting at the third row, close to the stage. During the introduction speech, I noticed the similar gesture of the 2 ladies, not knowing what to do with their hands.
In the WS, I show you the intervention of Michel Rocard, former prime minister, during his presentation of the "years 70", subject of this 23rd festival.
I won't be very active during this week, attending 12 films and some conferences

Hello Claude!
For attending films and some conferences! Good listening!
There is always an embarrassment but wants a good idea to capture the detail is subtly!

Bonsoir Claude

Bonjour Claude,
A very well seen and taken photograph, especially as it was taken at a shutter speed of 1/60 second at a focal length of 200mm!
A very fine capture of a pose we have all seen so often (and probably adopted ourselves many times) with wonderfully strong vibrant colours and exceptional details and sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. An interesting note too. And, please, enjoy your films and conferences!

Bonsoir Claude

Hi Claude. Hands, and not much more. The photo hides a lot and it shows a lot. The informative text fits very well to the photo. This beautiful study I really like.

Salut Claude

Hello Claude,
an interesting detail that you have captured so well. Excellent coulur and sharpness.I would have been tempted to crop tighter, to the hem of the red coat.I am especially attracted to images like this, when the photographer ignores the obvious and picks out a detail that would otherwise go unnoticed.

Salut cher Clodo
An interesting photo, not least for the cropping, where we do not see what these people look like, that they are anonymous. But it's also an exercise in reading body language and also learning a few things about your subjects. The body language seems to say, "I don't know what to do with my hands". But the strangest thing I find is what seems to be two left handed people next to one another. A right-handed person would usually clasp the left hand over the right. And another fascinating fact is that (if they are not both left handed) one seems to be mimicking the other, which is unusual in itself. Interesting also is that although we cannot see their faces, we have a good idea of the age of these women, as it is the hands which usually belie age, no matter what amount of plastic surgery has happened to the face. A fascinating photo, thanks for sharing.
Bonne amitiés
Lisa
