Photographer's Note

One in a short series of images taken in the French village of Burie. For some reason the file data no longer holds the date the photographs were made. But, I am guessing they were taken around 2008 give or take.

Burie is a village and commune in South-West France in the département of Charente-Maritime. In 2008 it had a population of 1259. It is located 13 kilometres from the town Cognac amidst vineyards that produce grapes that go into making cognac and pineau des Charentes, a locally produced fortified wine drunk mainly as an aperitif.

The Romanesque church of Saint-Léger dates partly from the 12th century with later additions and alterations.
