Photographer's Note

Known for its anchovies and famous painters like Matisse, Picasso, Braque and Derain, among others, Collioure is a little fisherman port, located between sea and mountains. Its site is one of the most beautiful of "La Côte Vermeille".

Collioure not only have the "atmosphère vivante et gaie", also have exceptional monuments: The Royal Castle, built in the beginnings of the XIVe century, by the kings of Majorque; the Chuch Notre-Dame-des-Anges (XVIIe), which also serve as the lighthouse of the village.

With its narrow streets, colorful catalan boats, bright fachades and art galleries, the port of Collioure is a "must" visit on this area of the Mediterranean.

Preciosa composición. Me gusta ver las líneas verticales que dibujan los mástiles de los barcos. Y sobretodo ver sus ricos coloridos y su reflejo en el agua.

Wild, well saturated colours. It is very difficult to find this place almost empty, without crowds. I wonder to crop the bottom, but finally it is not necessary.

Great colors in this one. They are really attractive and produce a joyful image. This place looks great to visit as not only the shore is interesting due to these typical boats as well it seems to have nice historical buildings. The exposure control was very well succeeded too with a perfect balance between the shadows and highlights.

Still, there seems to be some definition problems probably due to the resize and sharpening seen especially in the edges of the masts and boats.

Hi Jorge,
This is a really beautiful place that you captured with talent.
The light is beautiful and the composition is great with the boats in the foreground.
I like the reflections in the water.
As Joseelias said, strange artifacts can be seen on the edges of the masts.
Your framing is perfect since, as sayzey said, the tower is not hidden by the masts, but between.

Ahh. J. Too bad that we was here at the same time. I have btw a night photo of the excact same motive and cut...

Anyway a fine compo, well disposed, great colours...
