V: The view from Montesegur
Looking down from the path to the castle Montesegur, the 600 Cathars under siege could through a long cold winter 1243/1244 look down to the mountain pass and see the camps of some 10.000 Crusaders there and down in the valley. How much hope could they have at the time to come through this siege of their castle. Amongst the Cathars were several of their leaders all hoping for Montesegur to be their safe place.

Bonjour Jack,
Best regards.
Daniel.

well I like it Jack.
the problem with this kind shots is that the depth is on photo not always so big as seeing it with you owh eyes. But whatever, I like the point of view, the good composition and the good view, well done Jack.

Beautiful early-December view from the hills, Jack. Just the right amount of snow to accentuate the gentle features of the landscape. Good inclusion of the fence at the left, and nice how its zig-zagging shadow conveys the undulating surface of the descending slope. Well captured.

Bonsoir Jack,

Hello Jack
I was located last year down on the carpark where I photographed the castle. I regret not having time to go up at the top.
Your composition is very appreciable with a very nice POV.

Hej Jack,
Wonderful landscape, I like the snow very much here. The little double perspective is also nice, first of the path, but also of the shadow of the fence. :-) Very well captured!
