BRETON CULTURE AND TRADITIONS I.
Plougastel in Brittany is famous for its traditional costume, its folklore and its strawberries.
One of the marking events of the year is the strawberry festival on every second Sunday of June, when the display of costumes from different epochs is magnificent. Plougastel has its specific costume; other villages will have different ones.
The dresses on this picture were created for the new celtic club during the 1950's. I always find it enhances the beauty of the young ladies who wear it.

Bienvenue sur TE,
Difficile de prendre un défilé avec des personnages a contre-jour.
Les costumes sont bien colorés.

Hello Marie Louise. I think this picture could be a little sharper, nevertheless is a nice composition with good colors and light management. The dresses are very beautiful. The colors and styles make the women look more attractive, though I am sure they are attractive in any way :-) Nice work :-)

Ciao Marie Louise, ho visitato la tua galleria di Costumi tradizionali Bretoni e la trovo interessantissima.
Tu sai quanto adoro le tradizioni popolari e l'aria di familiarità che coinvolge quanti partecipano ad un raduno folk.
Mi sarebbe piaciuto molto vivere in quei tempi, quando anche una semplice sagra delle fragole,come a Plougastel, coinvolgeva tutta la popolazione.

mon idee etait de voir tes debuts sur TE et je me regale avec ses larges sourires de la Bretagne.

Comme je suis en condition de conclure sur ton travail, je donne une excellante note avec une pudique remarque, tout en sachant ton ame, que les minous ne sont pas assez representes. Mais, comme ta galerie promet...

Me gustan las tradiciones de lso pueblos por que nos ensenan siempre algo, como, la forma de vestir, la comida, la musica y como es qeu vivian con sus usos y constumbres.
Me gusta mucho la sonrisa de la primera joven a la izquierda, muy linda y muy feliz.

por coincidencia he visto ayer en la televisión algo sobre Gauguin y sus obras en bretaña, me recuerdo de estas mujeres con sus ropas típicas. hermoso momento manteniendo las tradiciones. GPC.
