This shot was taken from atop a ferris wheel at the Foire du Trone in Paris. When I looked out over the landscape I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this "mountain". It doesn't appear to have any other hills or rocks around it and it looked very out of place.

I thought it was a nice sense of irony to capture it along with the trees, which are part of the Vincennes wooded area, and the canoers out enoying the nature to be juxtaposed against the typical Parisian skyline a little farther back and in the left of the frame.

When I returned home I checked my map to see if I could find this mountain, and all I discovered was that there is a zoological park in that area. So I am assuming that this is part of the park and more than likely man-made, judging from the bizarre holes near the top. Ideas anyone?
