Photographer's Note

This is the castle of Hardelot, a first stronghold was said to be built here in XIth century. The structure changed a lot during the centuries. It looks very English and that is not surprising when you know that this part of the mainland was in English hands for a long time. You might spot a few unclear areas; that's due to the rain and I saw too late that some drops had fallen on the lens.
For those who wonder: I don't think anybody still lives here.

Une photo très mystique! Les couleurs sont lugubres à souhait! Le POV est vraiment bien choisi. Pareil que Didi, j'y dormirais pas non plus.

Bonjour Hendrik,
des couleurs et des lumières qui donnent naturellment un ait très glauque et fantômatique à ce chateau.
Limite du lugubre, bien vu pour la traitement et le cadrage.

Ambiance sinistre et parfaitement décrite par l'image et la couleur, c'est très intéressant mais je ne passerai pas la nuit ici :))

Dag Hendrik,

Een betere titel kon u dit kasteel niet geven.
De mist of het nevelige weer zorgt hier voor een bijzondere atmosfeer, en wanneer men vermoed dat er niemand meer woont, dan komt het spook gebeuren zeker naar boven.
Hier zou men in valavond moeten zijn, met wat mensen die gevoelig zijn aan geluiden van uilen, dan was de zaak totaal rond.
Ik denk dat we toch even moeten samenzitten Hendrik, even bewerken en het zou nog stukken beter zijn.

It seems the drops on the lens were very fortuitous as the resultant blur has created an air of mystery, along with the strange looking sky. Well composed with the castle on the left of the frame.

Hi Hendrik,
The slightly pink tint in the sky really gives this a lot of ambience. The lonely castle appears as if in a timeless warp. The little stream passing by enhances, and actually until I read your note about the rain drops I was going to state that the slightly blurred image of the distant trees adds to the melancholy mood. Good work...later.

Fnatastico este castelo parece mesmo assombrado o nevoeiro criou uma atmosfera bem dramatica , gostei das cores como do angulo de visão , parabens!!!
