Photographer's Note

The cock and the blue angel

A little return to say hello to my friends on TE. Hope y’all are doing fine!

This one was captured last January during a trip to Germany at the Technik museum Sinsheim. Such a fascinating place. The outside space is packed with planes and graphically inclined photographers like me really have to work hard to get clear and meaningful frames ;-)

On display here are an Antonov 22 transport plane (NATO nickname: Cock) and a MacDonnell F4 Phantom fighter-bomber that once belonged to the Blue Angels stunt team of the United States Navy.

A bird’s eye view of the museum and its surroundings is here on

The PCS3 work flow: I did not crop, altered the saturation, contrast, curves and levels for the whole pic and some elements separately, using different layers, applied the high pass filter on yet another layer, , USM-ed, added a frame and resized and enhanced the edges and did a gentle USM (0,5px, 23%) again on a 75 % transparent layer.
