L. van Beethoven in front of the historic post office. Münsterplatz. Bonn. Joy. We're celebrating his 250th birthday until December 2020.
The composer does not seem quite content with the prospect of a Rhine gull s(h)itting on his hair.

Hello Sven,

Beethoven certainly looks askance at the pigeon, which has no tact, landing on the great composer on his birthday! The sculpture, in the b/g, seem to be trying to direct the bird to some other perch!
It's a well composed and sharp photograph.

I think I once photographed this sculpture and I remember seeing a painting of Beethoven outside a church with a very baroque style interior!

Hello Sven Erich, the unmistakable figure of Beethoven.
An excellent close up of the statue.
Gulls get everywhere! A nuisance,putting it mildly.
The background in contrasting colours help to enhance the shot.

Hello Sven, I think the gulls like to land on the head of Beethoven. When I was in Bonn, there was always one sitting there. I haven't realized that it is his 250 birthday this year. Excellent composition. I like the roof behind the monument.

I have to smile and laugh at this one because as you mentioned in your note, he doesn't look at all amused there is a seagull standing on his head :) Not to mention it will probably poop as well haha. Excellent idea to post this on his Bday too
