Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
This is the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn.
It is a huge and very beautiful, Baroque building.
It is so vast, that it even accommodates a vehicular access through its centre.
It isn't far from The Rhine so we could easily walk here from the boat.
Please look at the workshops to see more views of the building.
My kind regards from a very cold NW England, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
It's a fine building and WS #2 shows us how very large it is. Both these photos are well composed and I am divided between my preferences. This is a tighter composition with closer views of the architectural details, plus a well placed cyclist. WS2 is taken from a fine angle, shows us the size of the building and includes more people and a fine large lawn. Perhaps it is just very slightly overexposed.
But I have seen them all so the choice doesn't really matter.
Best wishes,
Gert

Hello Bev,
We get a lovely frontage to see, incredible how Germany everything made new after WWII, and much in original condition.
A lovely summer picture with one biker.
Nice composition and nice colours, excellent presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John

Hi Bev,
The branches are helping to frame the building. The point of view is showing the details of the building. The light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Beverley, the golden decorations catch the sun and really show well in the large version.
What an enormous building.
This is the best view of the three; we can enjoy the beautiful features, the windows, the columns and the statues.
The cyclist was perfectly timed!
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Beverley,
While the second photo in the WS convinces us of the immense nature of the building, we can focus more on the beautiful architectural decorations and the many statues in your main photo.
Both photos in the WS differ greatly, as one shows a street scene and the other a calmer image with the grass and trees, or a more suitable environment for studying.
Best regards, Paul

I guess this façade without the sculptures could be in some place in UK too. excellent details of the façade and the light were excellent. when I am facing such buildings I like a lot to take close ups of these sculptures and adornments, not coincidence I got so much images from russia and UK. haha.
take care

Hello Beverley,
I have been to Bonn twice, but must have missed this building (but both visits were very short). You chose an excellent angle and the fine details and ornaments look great in this pleasant sunshine. The cyclist was a nice inclusion also.

A beautiful architecture style we can see around Europe, the impressive entrance gate shown marvelously under light, Beverley.
Three attractive pictures, rightly chosen thre main post.
Have a nice new day,

Hello Bev, Excellent presentation of this gem of Baroque architecture in the three photos. Wonderful facade, beautiful sculptures, one golden, on top. Nice addition of the biker, maybe a student there. I was a student of the Cologne University (a bit fake though).

Hello Beverly
You show a noteworthy building with great decorative details; especially the added moldings to the classy frontage excel in refinement.
It's easy to imagine an horse-driven carriage coming out from the main entrance for a visit back in earlier centuries!
Cheers.

Hi Bev,
beautiful facade indeed. You had a lovely light there with pleasant sky. The level of contrast is just perfect to make the view feel three dimensional. Great capture with the biker and framed with some tree branches.
I think I will go back to my German archives now as well.
Excellent work,
M
