Photographer's Note

My region here in southern Westphalia is called Siegerland. Its name is derived from the here shown river, the Sieg. Its source is in the low mountain range "Rothaargebirge" in an altitude of 603 m north-east of my city, Siegen. Sieg river after 150 km flows in Rhine river in an altitude of 50 m north of Bonn.

In my photo you can see Sieg river about 10 km south of the city of Siegen, near the village Brachbach.

I took this picture last sunday because of the wonderful light and the willows with their first light green leaves. Spring finally seems to get a foothold ...
