Photographer's Note
It does not happen very often that you can find wind shorn trees deep within Germany, far away from the coast! These trees stand on a pasture near Roddermaar, a half natural and half artificial lake, not of volcanic origin as most of the Eifel lakes are.
Niederzissen community, Eifel, Rhineland-Palatinate.
Image published as a silent protest against the longest night we are facing today on December 20th.
