Photographer's Note

Monastiraki is a flea market in the old town of Athens. The Monastiraki flea market is the place to be on Sunday when it seems every Athenian is here either buying or selling. You have to get here early because after about 11am the crowd becomes impossible and if you want to take a break there are few tables available at the many cafes and restaurants in the area. If you are looking for inexpensive reading material, there are several used book stores in this area selling mostly paperback books. There are also old coin, stamp and print shops.

Γεια σου Σπύρο!

Πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα η φωτογραφία σου! Μου αρέσει η προσύλωση των ηλικιωμένων "βιβλιοφάγων ή βιβλιοκηνυγών". Τα παλιά βιβλία με τις κιτρινισμένες τους σελίδες έχουν απεικονιστεί εξαιρετικά. Μου αρέσει η ατμοσφαιρα που μεταφέρεις...σαν να μετεφέρεται και αυτή η ιδιαίτερη μυρωδιά από παλιά βιβλία...

This is a great streetshot Spyros.
The colours in combination with the subject, old books, old man, feel very good together..natural and old, it matches very well.
Very good sharpness, good isolation of these reading man with 4 eyes each (glasses) Good framing and sharpness too. A bit tight framing/crop at the topside though, try to watch that you includea bit of air above the heads (man on the left)
Further, very well done.

Πολυ καλό καδράρισμα. Μου αρέσει η τοποθέτηση των παπούδων στην γωνία ( θα μου άρεσε λίγο πιό πολύ αέρας γύρω τους).
Τους πέτυχες πάντως σε πολύ καλή στιγμή. Οι εκφράσεις τους είναι ότι καλύτερο ιδιαίτερα ο ένας που βγάζει τα γυαλιά της μυωπίας για να δεί καλύτερα κοντά.
Ο φακός δεν είναι τόσο κακός.
