Photographer's Note

The town I live, Chalkis, is a quite and peaceful city, built in a very important place and has the pleasure to combining sea and mountain.

Here the air is clear, the fishes are fresh (and famous!) and generally almost an ideal place to live.

If you're following my gallery aboyt my city, you can find many lovely places that this city has. One of them is this one I presented with this photo.

The area of Agios Dimitrios (very near to the neighborhood I grow up), is a fine place with many trees, small streets and traditional buildings.

About the bust you can see:
Iraklis (Hercules) Gazepis
Ex Mayor of Chalkis (1873 - 1890) and also deputy of Evia Island for two periods. He died at 1899. A big street has his name!

Minor work. Only resizing from a 6.1MP file. USM at the final stage. Nothing more. Lighting and colors are original.

Θα συμφωνήσω απόλυτα μαζί σου ότι είναι μια πολύ όμορφη γωνιά και ο τρόπος που την αποδίδεις είναι εξαιρετικός. Μου αρέσει πάρα πολύ το καδράρισμα και το σημείο λήψης. Έχεις απομονώσει όλα τα όμορφα στοιχεία της σκηνής διώχνοντας οτιδήποτε περιττό. Πολύ καλή δουλειά!

A lovely corner indeed, Mpampi! It looks very enticing and I love the combination of the flowers and trees - ah Spring has a head start in Greece of course ;-) - and the classic and well rendered architecture. A lovely few to start the day!

Πραγματικά μια πανέμορφη γωνιά από την πόλη σου! Πολύ ωραία, "ζυγισμένη" σύνθεση και πολύ καλή διαχείριση του φωτός. Συγχαρητήρια!

Τελικά η Χαλκίδα έχει πολλές όμορφες στιγμές, θα με κάνεις να έρθω και να τριγυρίσω μέσα στην πόλη.
Πολύ καλή ιδέα να δείχνεις τις όμορφες γωνιές της.

Μπάμπη καλησπέρα,
μου αρέσει η κολοζυγισμένη σύνθεσή σου με το φως και τη σκιά να βρίσκονται στην πρώτη γραμμή.Η εκκλησία φαίνεται πολύ καλά αλλά τα φύλλα των δένδρων είναι λίγο ανετάριστα.Εαν έβαζες ένα μικρότερο διάφραγμα(16-22) τότε φαντάζομαι ότι όλα μέσα στο κάδρο σου θα ήταν in focus.
