Zakynthos is the third largest island in the Ionian sea, green island of poetry, song and love, the home of D. Solomos, the writer of the National Anthem of Greece but also of St. Dionysios, the patron Saint. When the boat reached the port, especially at night, you feel as if you enter the port of Venice. On one side you will see the illuminated cathedral bells of St. Dionysius, and on the other side of the picturesque town with the road going to the hill of Bochali (2km) and the Venetian Fortress (3km). The view of the harbor and city from above is simply breathtaking and even more enjoyable when you sit in one of the many outdoor cafes and local tavernas.
