Waiting..., a photo from Zakynthos, Ionian Islands

Some of us are liking to travel all around the World. To change our life every day. Some of us are liking to stay in a place and waiting. The true love? Our hopes to come true? Our end? Who knows...

When I saw this ship docked at the harbor and waiting for it's cargo, I thought the above.

I chose a sepia format for this one and I believe it's fine. Do you agree?

the pov is good,
choice of monochrome goes well,
the clear sky & the sea with lot of ripples makes the shot lovely,

Μπάμπη γειά σου,
ωραία και νοσταλγική η φωτογραφία σου και ιδικά όταν χρησιμοποιεί κανείς sepia.Νομίζω πάντως ότι το πεζοδρόμιο είναι λίγο περισσότερο φωτισμένο από την υπόλοιπη φωτογραφία.

Nice photo Mpampis..

Good thoughts from you on this theme..I like the idea behind. I like that you've also captured part of the road in front of you, to me this adds a lot to the photo, if the photo started with just see from the bottom..I don't know, would be as effective. Fine sharpness and good contrast too.
Would crop off a bit from the sky myself though, to go for a slightly more panoramic approach..nothing much in the sky anyway. Nice idea. I bet the colour version is probably not as powerful as this one.

Η απόδοση σε σέπια είναι πολλή καλή, η γωνία λήψης που διάλεξες δίνει δυναμική στήν σύνθεση, καλό βάθος πεδίου και καθαρότητα.

Hi dear Mpampis,

this is not as good as your works in your gallery,sorry,
look at the sky,the result is injoured by edit(a kind of pixelize),and also it's flat(the sky).mmmmm,and look at the bottom,the sidewalk(the place for walikng) is overexposed and you can find oversharpeness in some parts ,too,...about composition,the big narrow triangle in bottom is not a good element in this combination,could be avoid it,...and sepia tonalities here...it's very cold and stony,....oh,Mpampis,dear Friend,hope you don't mind,don't doubt about my sincer !

μου αρέσει αυτό που "δίνει" η φωτογραφία και ο τρόπος που αντιμετώπισες αυτή την εικόνα καθώς και όσα διέκρινες σε αυτή.Θεωρώ καλή επιλογή το sepia γιατί γυρίζει το χρόνο πίσω!
