Lake Stefaniada is relatively small in size and the nearest point is 1.5 km distance from the Cave Monastery. It has an area of approximately 180 hectares oval shaped and formed recently after precipitation soil in the decade between 1960 and 1970, creating a basin which time the weather has been covered by rainwater.

As you understand the rain water has created a unique environment around the lake came to complement the already existing, truly making the region a magnet for nature lovers.

Continuing from the lake Stefaniada you can head villages of the Achelous municipality and Evritania Prefecture.
