This is an extrordinary composition with marvellous light and colours. It's a very different kind of picture from what we usually see here, looking like something taken on a visit to Hell. Realizing it's a real place of work, in 2013, is really chocking.

You have captured the mood of this heavy industrial complex so well. I love how the coloured crane and chimney clearly stand out against the smoky, blurred background. The high chimneys belching out fire and smoke give the scene a Dante's inferno vibe. Fantastic !

Hallo Dimitris,
wie schade, dass TE nicht den Lärm und den Geruch übertragen kann, das Ergebnis wäre überwältigend! Aber auch so bekommt der Betrachter einen hervorragenden Eindruck von diesem harten Arbeitsplatz. Gert hat den Nagel auf den Kopf getroffen, wenn er von einem Besuch in der Hölle spricht.

Well rendered the industrial waterfront, smoke and the entwined dust particles with the chimnies activity. Very impressive picture, environment must be above all, preserved.

τι εποχή και αυτή τής Larco στην Βοιωτία και τα Ασπρα σπίτια, αλλα χρόνια αλλά η εικόνα είναι πολύ αντιπροσωπευτική της σκληρής και ανθυγιεινης δουλειάς των μεταλλουργών και φυσικά πολύ αξιόλογο αφιέρωμα!

A not very usual subject here! And again, a scene that doesn't match to the idea we all have from Greece!
However, you took these bad-looking elements and created a very interesting and attractive picture!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, vertical format, chosen pov and composition are all excellent!

Hi Dimitris,
I like this picture despite it is a shocking scene with an incredible air pollution, almost beyond belief.
It is not beautiful but i like the energy and the power from the machinery and the industrial process in the background. The light and colors are excellent captured and it is almost possible to smell the pollutions and feel the heat from the process. Well done!

Superbly atmospheric mood minus the bright sun light just enough to make it interesting. a slice of life at the work site captured in the moment definitely out of your comfort zone. A well detailed, the focus on main interest is spot on full of activity as the smoke gives a sense of how busy the work is. I like the compo, bit of vivid colour just to click the eye leading strongly into the image with excellent feel of depth. It's lovely low light taken in extremely good clarity that you have managed the exposure competently. You've pulled off a really nice shot here! Congrats. Thks to your good narratives.
