Photographer's Note
Hi everyone,
My previous post, titled "the bell", seems to
violate the TrekEarth terms of service and therefore has been inactivated. The reason was: Excessive post-processing
So, today I'm posting the same photo but without any PP work. I hope you like as it is

Hello Ioannis,
I feel sorry about the inactivated picture, because it was a very special picture. A few weeks ago one of mines was removed (for the first time) also because of excessive PP, the frame was "to decorated"... Until today I see many more decorated frames although... I think some jealous people push the "violation button" to fast.
Anyway, I like this one too.
regards,
Luc.

Hi John, Do not feel you are singled out for your photo being removed. I have had a photo get removed with the same reason. I liked your PP in the previous posting which showed the highlight of the bell and the church. This is not as dramatic as the other one, more or less close to what we can see in real life.
A well composed picture with well arrangement of the basic components. Goof sharpness and clarity.

Very original picture, well composed and very sharp. The dramatic sky certainly adds to it. It looks as if this is a bell used for alarming people in case of bad weather, as it seems imminent on this picture.

Μην στεναχωριέσε φιλαράκο!
Κι αυτή είναι υπέροχη! Ωστόσο μπορείς να βάλεις την άλλη στο TL αν θέλεις! Καλή συνέχεια!

Hej John,
A very nice combination of the bell and the church, you put them both in a good composition. The light is beautiful as well. Good work!

Sorry to hear about the previous photo - I liked it very much, and I didn't mind the processing, which I thought enhanced the photo. I like the framing of this, with the bell up very close and balancing the shot with the tower and cross of the church. The clouded sky adds to the drama. Well done!

Hi John. That's a shame about the excessive PP as I thought the results you were getting were very cool. This is still very good as sharp focus everywhere used to be a good thing! :) tfs John.

καλησπέρα Γιάννη,
φαίνεται ότι το 'παράκανες' με τα τρθκ, οπότε αποφάσισαν να σοθ βάλοθν λίγο φρένο... :-)
πέρα πάντως από το χιούμορ, γιατί εννοείται ότι αστειεύομαι, είναι μια πολύ καλή φωτογραφία, πολύ καλή σύνθεση ποθ περιλαμβάνει και την εκκλησία στο πλάι. μια μικρή ιδέα: μήπως ήταν καλύτερα να την κόψεις λίγο στα αριστερά, ώστε το στήριγμα της καμπάνας να αγγίζει την κάτω αριστερή γωνία της φωτό;

Εξαιρετική φωτογραφία. Μου αρέσει η καμπάνα όπως την έχεις τραβήξει από κοντά. Φανταστικός ουρανός. Λυπάμαι για την φωτογραφία που σου έσβησαν!

Hi John,
The removal of your previous shot leaves many of us shaking our heads, as in my mind there are a few thousand examples of "excessive" PP going further than yours...However, this is still a very fine shot, with the POV from the low angle quite exceptional and all seen with great clarity. I like the hue and texture of the sky, the play of light and shadow on the bell, and the artistic way you have framed the scene. Very fine work, John.

Hi Ioannis,
I possible didn't saw your previous post but generally you don't use too much PP work that could violate any TE rule. Don't mind and keeep the good job. Very nice composition with this bell in a excelent enquadrement. Good colors, contrast and fine sharpness. The bell and the church are so nicely located in your vion capture.
Very well done and composed. Congratulations and have a nice week. Best Regards.

Hola Ioannis.
You got a very good shot, I saw your previous one and there was some PP but I really liked it, I'm sorry they removed it, anyway I think this one is also very good. Love your composition and POV. Thank you for sharing.

Hi John - shame about what happened, there are so many boring shots out there that should be removed because they are so boring and uninteresting, anyway this is still very nice, the dark sky makes a spectacular contrast.

Hi John, this is a very moody picture with the sun giving a strong light on the bell and church. The dark sky is dramatic. I like the upwards perspective.

Hi Ioannis,
You have placed yourself well for this shot as the resulting composition is very interesting. I love the surface qualities of the bell that you are able to capture and its harmony with the church building. The colours and clarity are very pleasing to the eyes. Well done!! Do have a nice day.

Hello Ioannis,
It's sad that you were 'censured' because I like your post-processing, but this is also a nice shot with good colours and contrast. Like the details we might appreciate on thel bell as also the way you've made your composition.
well done.
