Photographer's Note

Back to my last summer holidays in Zakynthos island. This is a part view of the city from the sea. I took this shot some minutes before we departed for the daily cruize around the island.

Almost at the center and up on a hill (above the big hotel at the center) you can see a small church which the famous General Theodoros Kolokotronis (more infos about him you can find here) from the Greek War of Independence in 1821, used to visit when he was in Zakynthos (1810-1821).

Καλημέρα Μπάμπη, λίγο πιο αριστερά κοντά στην μεγάλη εκκλησία είναι το ταβερνείο που έτρωγα και απολάμβανα την θέα της θάλασσας και του λιμανιού.

the island is very nice, the postcard is well taken and yes that name postcard is just a compliment from me too you, one thing, I think a little contrast can be used here, but thats personal, have a nice day,

Μπάμπη καλησπέρα.
Ωραία απεικόνιση της Ζακύνθου.
Όμορφα χρώματα με σωστή αναλογία 1:3 ουρανού-κτιρίων.
Νομίζω λίγο υπερτονισμένο το Sharpness.

Εξαιρετική, φίλε! Υπέροχη σύνθεση και καταπληκτική επιλογή του όρθιου κάδρου! Πολύ ωραία και η κυματιστή αντανάκλαση. Τα χρώματα είναι καταπληκτικά, όσο για sharpness και contrast, τα γνωστά, εξαιρετικά "Μαντούκεια"! Συγχαρητήρια!

Mpampis kalimera.
C'est un coin chargé d'Histoire qui invite à y passer des vacances. Dommage que de grands immeubles cachent ce village qui semble avoir du caractère. Le ciel est superbe.

Το όρθιο κάδρο της πάει πολύ.Όμορφος και ο ουρανός όπως σβήνει.Πολύ ωραίο νησί γεμάτο όμορφες αναμνήσεις.

Δε ξέρω πως την τράβηξες και βγήκε τόσο τέλεια ισορροπημένη και να σου πώ την αλήθεια ούτε και που με νοιάζει.
Πάντα ήθελα να επισκευτώ τη Ζάκυνθο και απλά να ξέρεις ότι αν ποτέ το κάνω ένας λόγος θα είναι και η φωτογραφία σου.

A nice view that gives a good summer impression, the whites are well exposed and I like these big clouds dynamizing the sky above the city.

Εξαιρετικά χρώματα και υπέροχος φωτισμος. Είναι μια καταπληκτική σύνθεση πολύ ισορροποιμένη που "φωνάζει" Ελλάδα από χιλιόμετρα.

Ha, this looks familiar. I belive that's the police centre right in front, at the harbour. There is also a ATM there :) I've been standing there too, though a year earlier. I see the church, nice one. Great quality and fine effect of the polarizer. Also like the reflections on the buildings on the sea. Well composed fine photo. Well done Mpampis.

Και αυτή μου αρέσει πολύ
πραγματικά ζηλεύω το χρώμα που έχεις πετύχει στη θάλασσα, παρόλο που ο ουρανός κλέβει την παράσταση.
