I'm coming back to my lovely hometown with a fresh shot from the almost-spring weather we have here the last 5 days and so...

I found the contrast between the flowers of this elmond tree and the colors of this old reconstructed house very attractive...

What do you think?

Tech Talk:

This is photo is 90% untouched! I only did two USM during the downsize from 6.1MP to 800Xsomething and added the frame and the titles! Nothing else!

PS: This shot is almost from the centre of my town. I feel lucky to live here... :)

Ωραία η σύνθεση του σπιτιού με τα άνθη σε πρώτο πλάνο.Ωραία χρώματα και φως επίσης.
....
Κάπως έτσι είναι και σε εμάς εδώ, όχι χάμω αλλά πάνω, οπότε δεν μπορώ να πω ότι εμάς μας τρώει η αρκούδα μάλλον ο χειμώνας ήθελα να πω . -¨)

Yes we hav e seen also the first blossoms here in the Netherlands, Mpampis,
an easy but very nice pov, good details and good colours too, very nice photo job, Let the spring come.

I am happy the spring is coming back. I's visible in Greece but it's also visible 1 month in advance in the north of France. I think the shot is good because it not always ease to approach the flowers.

Hello Mpampis. A nice and pleasant impression of early spring from your village. The sunlight works nicely to enhance the petals of the almond blossoms, and the use of DOF works okay to set the tree apart, although you could have gone to aperture priority and chosen something around f/4 to make the DOF even more shallow. I also like the natural appearance of the colors.

Πολύ καλή δουλειά Μπάμπη.
Η φωτογραφία σου μου έβγαλε κατι όμορφο. Και αυτό είναι νομίζω είναι το πιό σημαντικό σε μία φωτογραφία.
Πάρα πολύ όμορφα τα θερμά χρώματα στο κάντρο σου, δινουν την αίσθηση θαλπωρής.
Πολύ καλό και το φώς στο κλαρί της αμυγδαλιάς.

Hi Mpampis,
A true image of springtime....well done.I have also noticed that the cherry blossom trees are now blossoming round where I live.This is cleverly caught with the pink/peach building at back to compliment the colours.Good details and clarity and a well thoughout composition.

Καλησπέρα Μπάμπη,

Είναι μια φωτογραφία παράδειγμα, για την χρήση βάθους πεδίου. Τό φόντο όσο θολό χρειάζεται, για να καταλαβαίνει κανείς τι είναι εκεί και τα κλαδιά της αμυγδαλιάς είναι τρισδιάστατα. Χρωματικά και η έκθεση, είναι τέλεια.

Hi Mpampis - great spring shot, I like how the color of the flowers matches that of the house behind it. Spring is definitely here in California, it's 30° outside today, and we changed the clocks to summer time already.

We had such views here as well until this week, and this morning we got a little snow, amazing isn't it ?
The bokeh here is light but still manages to make flowers stand out against the house front, and the view is quite luminous, I like this.
