Photographer's Note

Well, what to tell.. a lot I think!

It's been some time since I've uploaded a photo..and this photo has more meanings in it.
This is my 100th photo on TE, but I didn't plan to upload this photo for it..far from.
The photo I meant to be the 100th will be 101th probably. You'll see it later, if you want that is.

I also DO NOT want to celebrate this photo. Celebration MAY come with the 101th photo. But I feel I must do it, what I am going to do here. Something I've done before..

As for introduction, and more information on why am I doing this, you'll find it here

Unfortunatly this is a sequel.

Now on to the thing :

I dedicate this photo to one of my uncles, Jan, who, very unfortunate, passed away last night :( on 01-04-07.

You'll probably notice I'm very open in these things. It's just a way to express myself I think. It also helps to write things down.

For a dedication, I've been searching for a subject close to him.
Finding the photo was hard, spitting through my archive, but the subject not.
He liked boats, sailing..sea..the water.

Good for him is that he found rest in the middle of his best friends, on a boat..his favorite place..close to the sea. No suffering was involved.

I found this photo matching that theme. Waves from a boat sailing away from the land. In somehow that can be something sad..can you agree? It can also open new lives for those on the boat..for example when people are emigrating to another country.

In this case I was making a boattrip from Lefkada to Ithaki to spend the day there.
The places I've visited last summer would have been great for my uncle to sail..with his own boat.

He couldn't experience to see these waters in this life..maybe in another.

End of the story. Rest in peace dear uncle!
