Photographer's Note
Amorgós is the most eastern of the Cycladic isles. It is also one of the most mountainous and a real walking paradise.
The most fascinating way to discover Amorgós is by means of the ancient monopátia, the old paths.
Donkeys used to be the essential means of transport by land and therefore, a well-designed "system" of cobbled paths used to cross the island and guarantee the transportation of goods to the villages.
Chóra - Moni Chozoviótissa - Egiáli (walk n°1)
-----------------------------------------------
This is definitely one of the most fabulous hikes on Amorgós. You follow the spine of the island, you get to know the marvellous Chozoviótissa-monastery, you discover some unique landscapes and you finally arrive at the pleasant bay of Egiáli.

Groeten.
